Aston Villa: Getting Bigger

Aston Villa is expanding, at least that’s the plan.

The Villans have launched consultation on plans to expand its home ground, Villa Park.

Part of the plans is a brand new North Stand and enhancements to the Trinity Stand which would see Villa Park's capacity lift to over 50,000.

Following this community consultation period, works could begin as soon as next year and be completed by 2025.

Manchester United: ten Hag era begins

New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has hit the ground running as he begins the unenviable task of restoring United to the top of the English Premier League.

The Dutchman held his first training session with the senior playing group this week at Manchester United’s training ground.

A number of young, academy players were spotted taking part in the session including Di'Shon Bernard, Tahith Chong, Amad and Ethan Laird who all return from loan.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils’ focus on youth continues with Zidane Iqbal and Will Fish both signing new contracts at the club.

Crystal Palace: new kit, who dis?

Crystal have also returned to the training track and while their rumoured transfer moves have been making waves, it’s their new away kit that has really caught the eye.

Predominantly white the striking red and blue lines that run down the front give the effect of paint on canvas.

The shirt sleeves are embossed with the Eagle from the club crest while a ribbed knit collar and sleeve incorporates the red and blue via slick pinstripes.

The kit is the first in the Eagles’ new partnership with kit provider Macron.

Leeds United: Players Return

Leeds United players have returned to the club’s training ground Thorp Arch ahead of ICON.

Jack Harrison, who scored the winning goal for Leeds that saw then narrowly avoid relegation last season, spoke to LUTV upon returning.

“Everyone has had a nice time off after a stressful end to the season. Everyone now seems to be happy, excited and raring to go again.

“I think there was a lot of pressure, stress and emotions leading up to the last game and obviously after, it was a very special moment for everybody, I am sure it was relief for everybody as well.

“So it was good to take the time off to have a little bit of a break and mentally prepare to come back again this season and we are all excited to be here and get going again.”
