ARIA-winning Australian rock band, Grinspoon, will headline the pre-match entertainment at 2022 Ampol State of Origin Two, at Optus Stadium on Sunday 26 June.

The band, who are currently headlining sold-out festivals across the country, will help build an electric atmosphere as one of sport's greatest rivalries returns to WA for the first time since 2019.

Phil Jamieson, lead singer of Grinspoon said: "Shows don't come much bigger than State of Origin, and as four boys who grew up in Lismore NSW, it's one that means a lot to us. We can't wait to get out there at Optus Stadium and set the stage for an awesome game of footy."

Formed in 1995, Grinspoon are known for their hits Hard Act to Follow, Chemical Heart and Lost Control.

Additional entertainment for fans in and around Optus Stadium will include a range of food, beverage and interactive experiences, a spectacular pre-match light show, Welcome to Country, new 'light-up' goal posts, and the Ampol 'Mini Match' at half time, featuring local junior players.

State of Origin's return to WA coincides with the 75th anniversary of Rugby League in the state.
