Optus Stadium has received another six awards...

Including a silver for its Meetings and Special Events (MASE) business at the Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards.

A bronze award was also received for the 2018 Chelsea Tour of Perth in the category of Major Festivals & Events at the same awards night.

It followed on from architecture and accessibility prizes awarded by the 2019 International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee and International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IOC IPC IAKS) body.

A great month for Optus Stadium was then capped with two major prizes at the 2019 Australian Hotels Association-AON Hospitality Awards for Excellence with wins in the categories of Tourism Initiative and Excellence in Service.

Optus Stadium has now won 43 awards on the West Australian, Australian and international stage since the venue opened in January 2018 in a wide range of sectors including tourism, architecture, catering, landscaping, design, building and construction.

The Stadium had been a key driver for tourism in Western Australia

The highlight for Optus Stadium in 2019 was receiving the Prix Versailles for Sport for the most beautiful stadium in the world ahead of the Hangzhou Sports Park Stadium (China), Edgar Renteria Stadium (Colombia), Louis Armstrong Stadium (New York), Al-Najaf Stadium (Iraq) and Luzhniki Stadium (Moscow).

Earlier in the year, Optus Stadium won the Best Events Caterer award at the 2019 Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence WA and last year was announced as the New Tourism Business Gold Winner at the 2018 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards.
