East Perth Station Upgrade: Out-of-hours works February and March 2018
The East Perth Station Upgrade is now largely complete with minor work to be finalised over the next two months. To complete these tasks the following out-of-hours work is required:

  • Each Sunday from 11 February – 11 March (inclusive), 7am – 7pm each day
  • Sunday 18 February – Thursday 22 February, 7pm – 5am each night
  • Sunday 11 March, 7pm – 5am

Works are required to take place during these hours to prevent excessive disruption to Midland Line services and ensure the safety of our passengers and the general public. The scope of work during this time will include:

  • Completing repair works to the East Parade and PTC car parks including kerbing and asphalting works
  • Glazing and cladding works
  • Asphalt and line marking of emergency walkways
  • Removing of redundant signal cable

The pedestrian overpass at East Perth Station will remain open during out-of-hours works, however short delays may be experienced crossing the overpass. Please note that during asphalting works you may notice a chemical smell in the area; this is normal and will dissipate within a few days.

All work will follow an approved Noise Management Plan, however some noise and disturbance is unavoidable. A minimum of two noise monitors will be set up within the construction area to monitor noise levels. We apologise for these disruptions and any inconvenience they may cause.

Standard construction hours are 7am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday. During out-of-hours works, if you feel there is excessive noise please contact the Site Supervisor directly on 0428 358 569. This allows them to immediately review the source of the noise and if possible, put mitigation measures in place.
