Sensory Room Guidelines and Conditions of Use
The sensory room has been developed for our patrons with sensory needs who may need a short break, away from the Event crowds, sounds, lights and loud noises.
To ensure that the sensory room remains a quiet and calming space please familiarise yourself with the requirements for accessing and using the Sensory Room:
- The sensory room has been developed to provide a relaxed and calming environment, and is not a play area for children. Effort should be made to limit loud noises, and there should be no running, or jumping on furniture
- All patrons with sensory needs under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or carer/responsible adult.
- We may decline entry to the sensory room, or request that you leave the sensory room, if we believe that your use of the sensory room is adversely affecting the purpose of the sensor room, or if it may otherwise adversely affect a patron’s health or safety, or the health or safety of other patrons or our personnel
- The sensory room is open to persons with varying sensory needs, so please exercise all due care and control for your own safety, and for that of any other person under your care and supervision, whilst using the sensory room.
- If you, or a person under your care and supervision, is feeling unwell whilst at the sensory room please seek medical assistance from our staff
- No food or drink may be brought into the sensory room.
- Any items of property left at the sensory room at the conclusion of each event will be retained by us for 30 days.Please contact 1300 297 588 if you believe you may have left something behind.
